Kendriya Vidyalaya’s Admission is divided into five categories:-
The priority is the central government employee department.
In second place are the children of the army and the old army.
The children of civil servants are preferred in third place.
Fourth, the fee is preferred for single girls.
The fifth preference / last preference is given to private or independent staff.
Documents required for admission In KV Kolkata 2021
According to admission guidelines, students need the following documents to be admitted to Kendriya Vidyalaya: Proof of age for class 1 pupils in the form of a birth certificate issued by a competent authority to record births. This includes the notified city council /municipality/company certificates, Excerpt from the date of birth extracted from the archives of the Panchayat village, from the military hospital and the defense service.
For other classes, the date of birth must be indicated on the transfer certificate issued by one of the recognized schools, then only the Ministry of Education will accept. The original birth certificate will be returned to the parents/guardians after verification.
Admission of students to grade 8 can be granted without a student transfer certificate if the child is qualified and/or it’s birth certificate was issued by a government body.
For the grandchildren and employees of the PSU, the honest member have to prove a relationship between the children. Parents with honorable Members of Parliament or PSU staff would be needed. For the grandchildren of a KVS employee, proof of a parent’s relationship with the KVS employee(in service or retired) would be necessary.
A Caste certificate stating that the child belongs to the planned caste / planned root / EWS / OBC (not creamy) / GLP if applicable, issued by the competent authority of the government of the State/government of the Union concerned.
The certificate of one of the parents can first be accepted for admission if this certificate is not available for the child. However, the child’s certificate must be presented in time
a period of 3 months from the date of admission.
A certificate of the civil surgeon/rehabilitation center or other competent authority approved by the Indian Government O.M. 36035/5/88 / Estt. (SCT) of 4.5.1999 attesting to the disabled child, if applicable. If the school director sees the child’s handicap, he can be accepted as such even without a certificate. However, the parent may be asked to obtain the appropriate certificate from the competent authority and present it to the school.
A certificate of the number of transfers in the last 7 years, duly signed and stamped
by the head of the office, which bears the name, name and other useful information in block letters. A retirement certificate for uniformed defense personnel.

Admission Process in class I:
15% of places are reserved for the SC and 7.5% for ST students in places available for new enrollments. According to the last year, 10 seats (out of a total) of class I are assigned by section. RTE (25% of places). These seats are assigned to all candidates.

In the second phase, the remaining posts must be filled according to the priority category system of the previous year.
Admission Process Class II to Class VIII
For Class II to VIII approvals, no admission test will be conducted. The approval follows the priority category system of the previous year. If the candidates exceed the number of places, the lottery system will be followed.
The class IX admission process
According to last year’s information, an admission test is done for admission to IX and a separate list of services is created for each priority category. Admission is granted in order of priority categories.
Entrance Examination Pattern In Kendriya Vidyalaya Ballygunge:-
The entrance examination covers the following subjects: Hindi, English, mathematics, social sciences, and natural sciences. There will be only one 3-hour admission exam paper and 100 points with 20 numbers each. Candidates must receive 33% of the total numbers to be admitted. Students in the category SC / ST /(PH) will get facilities as per the GOVT rule.
